Stephanie Rapp Joins Alan Banov and Associates ...
We are very pleased to announce that in October 2013 Stephanie Rapp joined us as an associate. Stephanie, who grew up in Centreville, Virginia, is a member of the Maryland Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. She also belongs to the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. She is already doing great work for our clients!
Alan Banov ...
In November 2011 Alan was elected to the Board of the Maryland Employment Lawyers Association. He is still a member of the Board of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association.

In June 2012, Alan attended the national convention of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) in San Diego. Attending the seminars at these conventions is always educational. In San Diego he was privileged to hear Prof. Anita Hill speak. Afterwards, she kindly agreed to be photographed with him and his partner Sandi Cave.

In September 2012, Alan Banov and Associates negotiated a settlement for a federal employee worth $150,500. In fact, the firm negotiated three settlements during the same month.

In October 2011, Mr. Banov was appointed to the D.C. Superior Court Task Force on Jury Instructions for the second time. Several years earlier, he helped contribute to the Task Force’s model jury instructions for various D.C. Human Rights Act cases.

Alan is still rated A.V. by Martindale-Hubbell, and has now been rated “A.V. Preeminent.” Martindale describes the rating as follows: “*The AV® Preeminent Rating is the pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process that is managed and monitored by the world’s most trusted legal resource: Martindale-Hubbell®.”

He continues to mediate cases for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights.
